In 2011 Carlene wanted to help local businesses in Ealing by encouraging more people to support local trades and businesses.
She set up ‘Contactus Ealing’ magazine, helping the many home-based small businesses in the area, a lot of which are run by women.
Moving with the times, the magazine has now evolved into a monthly business network and annual 2-day event, the Ealing Business Expo which highlights and supports the many new and growing local businesses and business people, boosting skills and opportunities, and bringing together all the elements of the Ealing and Acton business community in West London.
