Barbara set up Jay Corner Coffee shop and bistro in part of an old Co-Op store, after successfully overcoming planning disputes, that may have deterred a less determined entrepreneur.

The café soon became popular with local residents and serves a full range of hot and cold drinks as well as panini and delicious sour dough toasties.
