Footbus began as an app to help students get home safely and has since evolved to make it easier for anyone to organise shared journeys on foot, by bike, or running.

Recognised for its social impact by the Ingenuity Programme, Footbus has also received funding from BCP Council and the UK Government’s Levelling Up initiative.

The app allows users to create and share routes with friends, eliminating the need for back-and-forth messaging. When friends join the route, users are notified, making group travel simpler, safer, and more social. Footbus is designed to turn solo journeys into shared experiences.
