Purplespoon runs two independent cafés inside YMCAs in Bridgwater and Highbridge in Somerset. Favourite local hubs for food and connection; plus catering and private events.

Kate started peeling potatoes at the age of 13 for £2 an hour! Driven by curiosity and connection, she honed her skills across pubs, pizzerias, and fine dining; and in Italy learning traditional recipes.

Passionate about investing in people, Kate’s community commitment extends to providing for those in need; and hosting regular community meals and events bringing together refugees, migrants, and local residents.
