Rachel Macbeth founded Solihull’s first fully outdoor nursery, Beatle Woods, in 2017 following a long and successful career in early years leadership and management.

Under Rachel’s leadership, Beatle Woods has grown significantly and now supports a team of 14 staff and more than 80 families each week. Built on a passion for improving outcomes for children and families, the setting applies a distinctive, child-led approach to childhood that has become central to its success. Beatle Woods has also expanded to provide opportunities for older home-educated children, further strengthening its community reach.

The setting has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted on two consecutive inspections, reflecting Rachel’s unwavering commitment to quality, inclusion and innovation in early years education.

Rachel is dedicated to disseminating best practice and empowering other practitioners to embrace child-led learning. Her work places particular emphasis on inclusivity and supporting children who may find mainstream environments challenging, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
