Michelle Quinn is Owner and Managing Director of Livingston-based Almond Engineering Ltd, a successful precision engineering business serving more than 300 customers across sectors including aerospace, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, medical and energy.

Michelle joined Almond at just 17 for what was intended to be a three-week temporary role as an office junior. She immersed herself in the business, progressing through increasingly senior roles and gaining experience across its operations. Remarkably, as a teenager she had already voiced the ambition of one day becoming Almond's first female Managing Director. Fifteen years later, she achieved exactly that, subsequently becoming an owner.

A real role model, today, Michelle combines ambitious business leadership with a strong commitment to apprenticeships, skills development and encouraging the next generation into engineering and manufacturing.
