Lynn Gardner and Kate Hendrie are the co-founders behind Piuthar, a much loved, family-style cafe and takeaway shop based in Shotts, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Established in October 2012, the duo intentionally chose the name "Piuthar" the Scottish Gaelic word for sister, to perfectly reflect the warm, tight-knit, and distinctly familial atmosphere that defines their business model.

Under their dedicated leadership, the eatery has earned a stellar local reputation for its delicious daily specials, premium catering services, and reasonably priced food. Lynn and Kate are supported by their fantastic team, including Mary and Diane, creating a genuinely welcoming, fun-filled local hub where every single customer is warmly embraced like family.
